2000 Tofu and Tempe producers will idle

The whole tofu and Tempe producers of Tangerang city about 2,500 people, on Wednesday (7/25/2012) strike tomorrow through Friday (27/07/2012). It is estimated these soy products, Tempe and tofu, will disappear.

Three-day strike, carried out with crafters of all Jabodetabek. This action following the increase in soybean prices in recent months, from Rp 5,000 to Rp 5,500 per kilogram (kg) to Rp 6,000-Rp 6,500 per kg, and finally reached Rp7.500-Rp 8,000 per kg.

The manufacturer of tofu and Tempe production strike in order the government look at the plight of tofu and Tempe producers, driven by higher raw material prices of soybeans.

This strike also want to demonstrate to consumers that what forced craftsmen to raise product prices, due to the increase prices of raw materials.

Asep explained that the strike is aimed at producing governments to act to stabilize prices and increase self-sufficiency in soybean. This action is a continuation of similar acts committed by the manufacturers two months ago.
